Dns not working
« on: April 04, 2014, 07:32:27 am »
Hey guys, i hope you can help.

I'm using ehcp force.
I use namecheap as my domain registrar.

Im using the domain t0rx.info, i used nameserver registration in namecheap and pointed ns1 and ns2 to my server ip. Then i added t0rx.info as dns host only.

Then i pointed another domain to the nameservers for t0rx.info.

Waited 2 days and nothings working.
If i set a arecord it works flawlessly but i want to use name servers

Any ideas?

Add the ns.yourdomain.com and ns1.yourdomain.com as NS records using Edit DNS template for the main domain.

You also need to create an A record that points to your IP address for both ns1.yourdomain.com and ns.yourdomain.com

Save the template, and you should be good to go.

www.intodns.com is a great way to troubleshoot and learn about why your DNS isn't working.

I didnt set a records as i thought nameserver registration was enough as it points ns1 and ns2 to my server ip already.

In host record of ehcp the ns1 etc is already there

Ill try the a record now see how i get on :)

Please post your DNS templates from both your domain registrar and EHCP.
